March Housekeeping

Parking for the event is available at Wilson’s car parks to the east of Victoria Square on Colombo Street or to the west on Durham Street North.

If you do not wish or are unable to march chairs will be available.

The nearest toilets are in the Margaret Mahy children’s playground to the east or in Cathedral Square.

There will be a first aid officer on site who will have a first aid kit with them throughout the event, and can be contacted if you have an injury on the march by one of the marshals via cell phone

We will have marshals available to assist you at the march. They will be identified by their orange vests with the official March Logo on the back.

We have Pro-Life signs available for you to carry. The marshals will be making these available just before we march. Please return them.

While we would prefer you to use our own signs if you do bring your own please ensure they do not depict any gruesome images and please do not bring any sign promoting any other agenda than the March for Life themes.

There will be children’s activities available including face-painting, Balloon show, and crafts, free candy-floss and popcorn. Please keep an eye on your children as there are water hazards at the Square.

There are stands at the march for a number of different displays from the various Pro-Life groups including Right to LIfe, Pro Love, Voice for Life, JP2 and Family Life international Right to Life are are selling march tee shirts of different sizes and colours for cost price between $10 and $15

Please do not respond to any taunts from the public. We are here to represent the unborn children and we need to turn the other cheek to any verbal abuse, and just ignore this behaviour.
